ABOUT | me

Growing up near Chicago, I was interested in the Arts and Technology before moving to Bellingham Washington to study Art, Psychology and Japanese. I then moved to Japan where I worked as a Web Designer and designed several web experiences for premiere global brands including Sony, Toshiba, Mitsubishi Electric and others. In 2015, I relocated to Los Angeles and designed digital experiences for The Auto Club of Southern California, Warner Brothers, Verizon Connect and GoDaddy.

The UX Designer role crosses over and interacts with multiple centers of design within a digital project's development. Understanding areas such as the product's core goals, technical constraints, branding importance, as well as the product's strategic implications for both the client and for the provider company is instrumental in creating a purposeful and meaningful experience.

Designing interactive experiences is a collaborative multi-disciplinary art. I enjoy learning from and working with team members where all ideas are welcome and the best ones allowed to be cultivated and implemented. I believe that adequate effort and resources be allocated towards research and design-discovery as that proves to be more beneficial for the project rather than allowing design debt to accumulate and subsequently have to be dealt with later in the software development cycle. Creating reusable assets and Design Systems increases output speed and conserves design and engineering effort.
